Balboa Park = Intensity Everywhere
Sometimes there is nothing better than wandering around a park with no real purpose but to just soak it in. The Intensity that is witnessed at Balboa Park in San Diego is truly extraordinary. You really can just sit back and let each scene play out right in front of you. Out of nowhere a fifteen year-old girl mid Quinceañera photo sesh walks by our spot on the grass as she leads her posse towards the next picturesque back drop.
Bam. Best backdrop ever…insert a little saxophone and you got yourself your solo Christmas card for the year.
A few moments later the Parkour Team arrives to take over a section of the grass and the fountain.
We venture over to the koi pond where we see a dad hoarding the balloons that you know his kids want more than him.
Oh…there’s a clown…
…And some more clowns. It turns out that it was the girl in the green hair’s birthday. Her only wish was that everyone dress as clowns.
Immediately after that we ran into the most Intense scene all day (yes more than parkour)….DUCK ON A LEASH! DUCK ON A LEASH! DUCK ON A LEASH! DUCK ON A LEASH! DUCK ON A LEASH! DUCK ON A LEASH! DUCK ON A LEASH! DUCK ON A LEASH! DUCK ON A LEASH! DUCK ON A LEASH! DUCK ON A LEASH!
Here’s my brother Dan with Nick the telescope guy after Nick admitted that he had only seen one “weird thing in the sky” through the lens…and that was back in the 90s. We’ll just leave it at that.
This is a fountain that you can spend hours at. Never a dull moment at this fountain.
Beautiful Balboa Park. My favorite place in San Diego.
