LIsa and the Comrie Family,

From someone who has lost a brother, my heart extends to you in this continued pain. It never goes away because its not supposed to. It only dulls enough to allow you to go on. I watch Sarah Landon whenever its on and always have to read about your family and Brian. By the way, that's my name too. Here's praying that Brian's memory sustains you for the rest of your lives until you see him again.

To the Comrie Family,
I was on the internet tonight and somehow came across this tribute to Brian. We met your family thru Roller Hockey and Brian and Mike Siebenthal played with our team the Bakersfield Fog in quite a few tournaments and at the Narch finals in Vancouver. He and Mike were so wonderful to Bryan although he was quite a bit younger than them. Brian was like a big brother to him, he made sure that he was included in everything. He and Mike took him to go see Austin Powers ( probably not very age appropriate for an 8 year old) and I have never laughed so hard in my entire life at Brian imitating Mike Myers. While he was up in Bakersfield staying with the team getting ready to go to Narch my friend Arlene Fisher took their hockey gear and dumped in it in the hot tub to try to get some of the smell out and disinfect it I guess... I will never forget the look on Brians face as he came around the corner and saw his gear in the hot tub; it was priceless, he then proceeded to get in the hot tub and challenge all to a breath holding contest. I freaked out he didn't come up and didn't come up and low and behold we later found out that he had his mouth around the air tube. We laughed till we cried. It is not often that high school boys from a competing team can come together like those boys did. It was and still is one of the most fun we have ever had traveling with a sports team. May God Bless you and your family and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Dorrette Hogan

Lisa - After reading this, I went in to the other room to read it out loud to Robb because I was really moved by it and wanted to share it with someone. It is incredible. Brian seemed like an awesome guy from what you have to say about him. Hilarious and fun. I read your post at night and the next day I saw a guy running with his arms tucked up - like a meerkat. I know it isn't the right use of "meerkating" but I still had to smile to myself.

I wish I had met Brian. And from hearing your voice in your writing, I wish I knew you better. My heart and thoughts go out to you. You are one incredible person.
Rosalie

Lisa and Family,
This is a beautiful tribute to your brother and son, who was a wonderful guy. The fun and laughs that are seen in your pics and videos let us all know how special Brian was and indeed how special your family is. Thank you for the viewing of this blog and allowing us to see an inside view of Brian. May he rest in peace.
Love, Carol Popeney

Lisa,
This was beautifully written, leaving me laughing and crying at the same time. I wish I could have known Brian, but I know from your eulogy and Deirdre's stories, that he was an extraordinary person. I wish you peace and strength right now. Sending a huge hugk~

Jess Wall Gallagher
